Auxiliary Services at Garnet Health Medical Center

Garnet Health Medical Center AuxiliaryAuxiliary Services at Garnet Health Medical Center render services to Garnet Health Medical Center ("GHMC") patients and to assist GHMC in promoting the health and welfare of the community. This organization exists exclusively for charitable purposes.

Our History

In 2006, three Hospital volunteer organizations merged into one Auxiliary to become the Garnet Health Medical Center Auxiliary. Prior to this merger, the three organizations ~ The Lenten Sewing Club, The Arden Hill Auxiliary, and the Horton Auxiliary, raised over $3 million for their respective hospitals.

Since becoming an Auxiliary, an additional $1 million has been donated to the former Arden Hill and Horton Hospitals for various projects. With regard to the construction of the new hospital, $750,000 has been donated for the new pediatric wing and the gift shop.

The Auxiliary's Fundraising Events

Jewelry; clothing; scarves; pocketbooks; cooking accessories; artwork; hand- made crafts; cosmetics and much, much more are sold in the cafeteria area of each Campus daily. Twenty percent of the proceeds are donated to the Auxiliary. It is, by far, the Auxiliary's most successful program.  For information, please call 845-333-2333.

Over the last several years, the Auxiliary has conducted a Tricky Tray event to raise funds.  With more than 100 themed items, raffles and refreshments, this event has become an annual, fun tradition and fundraiser.
