Education at Garnet Health Medical Center

Garnet Health Medical Center strives to maintain an academic environment committed to the highest of standards in education and patient care, and to prepare residents and students to be excellent healthcare providers by educating them in the fundamental concepts, knowledge and practical applications of skills taught by a team of dedicated medical professionals.

Education at Garnet Health Medical Center encompasses many phases of medical learning including:

Undergraduate Medical Education

Garnet Health Medical Center partners with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown 5 miles away from the hospital. Along with TouroCOM, Our vision is to produce the most empathetic physicians and increase the quality of healthcare in the region. TouroCOM third year students complete their core and elective rotations within the residency programs.

In terms of auditions, each residency program has an allotment of spots available to medical students both inside and outside of the TouroCOM community. For further information on auditions for residency programs, please refer to the residency programs individual website page. Currently, VSAS is not utilized for Garnet Health Medical Center auditions. Housing is not formally offered for audition rotations; however feel free to reach out to the specific program if you need assistance.

Continuing Medical Education
