Alzheimer's Support Group
The group is open to the caregivers, family and friends of patient’s with Alzheimer’s Disease. Connecting with others like you may help put your own experiences living with the disease in perspective, and provide you with the support and encouragement necessary to move beyond you or your family member's diagnosis.
Baby Bunch Support Group
The Baby Bunch Group at Garnet Health Medical Center unites caregivers of children ages 0-12 months to share experiences, discuss questions with other caregivers, exchange ideas and challenges, gain knowledge and learn skills regarding newborn care.
Bariatric Surgery Pre-Op Class
This 2 1/2-hour virtual class is mandatory and is required before your scheduled bariatric weight-loss surgery. It provides an overview of patient care pathway stressing the critical role of the patient for success.
Bariatric Surgery Support Group
The Garnet Health Bariatric Surgery Support Group is for both pre and post-op bariatric patients and is open to the general public. Our presenters consist of plastic surgeons, certified fitness instructors, nutritionists etc.
Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Seminar
Participating in our free informational program is the first step to exploring ways to improve your health and change your life. Our program covers topics to help you decide if weight loss surgery is right for you.
Bereavement Support Group
This nondenominational support group provides a judgment-free place to give and receive emotional support and validate your feelings during this difficult time.
Birth Basics Express!
Join us for a two-hour Childbirth Class to help expectant parents be better prepared for your hospital experience and the birth of your little one.
Breast Cancer Support Group
The breast cancer support group offered through Garnet Health Medical Center’s Ray W. Moody M.D. Breast Center offers cancer survivors a place to share their knowledge of how to deal with experiences and challenges presented by cancer and treatment.
Breastfeeding Support Group
Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskills is offering support and information for moms learning to breastfeed through this virtual group.
Car Seat Safety Checks
Garnet Health's Child Passenger Safety Technicians will educate caregivers on the proper installation and use of child-safety seats. We review child passenger safety, car seat weight and height limits, proper car seat harness use, as well as car seat installation in the rear-facing and / or forward-facing positions.

In partnership with the Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council of Orange County, this Garnet Health support group helps the family members or loved ones caring for an individual struggling with a substance-use disorder.
COVID-19 Support Group
The emotional stress of COVID-19 lingers on, even after physical recovery. Garnet Health’s Community Health team is hosting a free online support group for those who are recovering, or have recovered, from coronavirus.
Diabetes Prevention Program
Garnet Health has adopted the CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program, which offers a scientifically-proven and effective lifestyle enhancement program that can help prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.

Perinatal Bereavement Support Group
Meetings are designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where families who have experienced the loss of a baby can freely share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences while supporting each other. Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
Garnet Health understands that breastfeeding can be challenging. We are offering a 2 hour class with Certified Lactation Consultant that discusses the benefits of breastfeeding to the mother/infant and shares tips and insights to be successful on your breastfeeding journey.
Self Care Forums
Quarterly virtual community health lead seminars hosted by a panel of medical experts that discuss health issues and provide tips and tricks to attendees about taking care of themselves.

This support group focuses on stroke "recovery", with particular emphasis on promoting continued recovery and quality of life after formal treatment stops.
Women's Cancer Support Group
This support group is open to all women with a diagnosis of cancer. The group setting will provide health information, education, resources and brings together women.
Women with Type 2 Diabetes Support Group
This group gives T1 women a way to connect and interact with other women who, like them, are managing and living with T1D. This group is a place to share stories, seek and give advice with other women who relate to you.
