Risk Assessment Program for Lung Cancer
Our Risk Assessment Program was developed to assist patients in determining their risk of getting lung cancer. Our skilled clinical team utilizes risk assessment tools, diagnostic results and genetic testing to deliver a personalized risk reduction plan. This plan educates patients on predisposition to cancer and outlines ways cancer risk can be reduced.
Risk Assessments For Lung Cancer
Through a consultation with one of our expert physicians, we offer a Risk Assessment Program. Our program intends to evaluate individuals for early signs of lung cancer. We then create a personalized and customized risk reduction plan based on each person’s unique combination of factors.
Depending on your individual needs, our staff may conduct a lung cancer screening using Low Dose Computed Tomography. A low-dose CT or LDCT uses less ionizing radiation than a conventional CT scan, and is a non-invasive procedure that is effective in detecting the earliest stages of lung cancer. A LDCT is recommended for individuals with a high risk of developing lung cancer. Performing these screenings annually previous to any signs or symptoms of lung cancer can lower or reduce your risk of death.
Characteristics of Individuals at High-Risk for Lung Cancer
The following characteristics may indicate a high risk for developing lung cancer:
- 50 – 80 years of age
- Must be asymptomatic (no signs of lung cancer)
- Either a current smoker or have quit smoking within the last 15 years
- Tobacco smoking history of at least 20 “pack-years” (For example, if you have smoked a pack a day for the last 20 years, or two packs a day for the last 10 years)

Throughout the year, we offer several free cancer screenings and assessments to the community including, screenings for prostate, skin, breast and oral cancers.
