Event Invites Nursing Mothers to Celebrate National Breastfeeding Month
August is National Breastfeeding Month and Orange Regional Medical Center invites nursing mothers to the Big Latch On event at 9:00 a.m. on August 2. The gathering will take place at Orange Regional Medical Center’s Main Campus at 707 East Main Street in Middletown, NY.
The Big Latch On raises awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and includes time to share experiences with fellow breastfeeding mothers, as well as guided learning.
The event will begin with a group walk at 9:00 a.m. on the Hospital’s fitness trail. Registration for the Big Latch On will take place following the walk at 10:00 a.m. in the Testa Healing Garden by Orange Regional Medical Center’s Main Lobby entrance. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. If there is inclement weather, the walk will be cancelled and the Big Latch On event will take place inside of the Outpatient Building, 2nd Floor, in Medical Conference Rooms A, B, & C.
National Breastfeeding Month is celebrated every year in August to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world.
