Garnet Health Medical Center, formerly Orange Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce Lisa Konopko, MPH, MSN, RN, RNC-NIC as Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) /Mother/Baby Unit Nursing Director and Sheila Moreau, MSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM as Nursing Unit Director of Labor & Delivery at the Rowley Family Birthing Center.

In her role as NICU/Mother Baby Unit Nursing Director, Ms. Konopko is responsible for the Level ll NICU with 10 beds and one isolation room. The NICU provides comprehensive care of moderate to high risk newborns requiring observation, stabilization and care management.

In addition, Garnet Health Medical Center’s Mother Baby Unit offers 23 beds for antepartum (before childbirth) and post-partum (after childbirth).

Ms. Konopko manages the team of registered nurses and support staff who work in both the NICU and Mother Baby units. She began her career in the NICU at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and later worked in the NICU at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY.

She was previously Nurse Manager of Ambulatory Women’s Health at Mount Sinai and most recently as Director of Nursing for the City of Stamford, CT.

Ms. Konopko is certified in Neonatal Intensive Care and LEAN Six Sigma Healthcare Training, which reduces medical errors and improves medical outcomes. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the New York Academy of Medicine.

Ms. Moreau is responsible for oversight and operations in the Labor and Delivery Unit, which has 12 beds, two operating rooms, and two post-anesthesia care beds. In addition, she manages the team of registered nurses and support staff who work in the Labor and Delivery and the Mother/Baby Units.

Ms. Moreau was previously Nurse Manager of the Rowley Family Birthing Center and NICU.

She began her career as a staff nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell. She obtained a degree in Nursing from State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master’s degree in Nursing from University of Phoenix.

Ms. Moreau has 28 years of clinical experience, academic nursing instruction and childbirth education. She maintains certifications in Electronic Fetal Monitoring and Inpatient Obstetrics.
