Garnet Health Medical Center Offers Free Birth Basics – Express Class

Garnet Health Medical Center’s Rowley Family Birthing Center will offer a free, virtual Birth Basics – Express class beginning on February 18 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Birth Basics – Express is a free, two-hour childbirth class designed to help expectant parents prepare for their hospital experience and the birth of their baby. The class will review labor and birth, including all hospital procedures, pain-relief options, stages of labor, medical interventions, tips for comfortable labor positions, including use of yoga positioning and relaxation techniques and newborn and postpartum-care information.
“We are excited to offer this virtual class to help provide knowledge and support to expectant parents,” says Stephanie Sosnowski, BS, IBCLC, ICCE, Lactation Consultant & Childbirth Educator at Garnet Health Medical Center, “Going in to the birth of their child, this class will allow our patients to feel more confident and well informed about what to expect when they come to the hospital.”
