Garnet Health Medical Center Names Employee of the Year

Garnet Health Medical Center, formerly Orange Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce that Chris Costello, Director of Occupational Health and Employee Wellness, has been named the 2020 Employee of the Year.
“Mr. Costello is an exceptional employee,” said Garnet Health Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Brian Tew. “We commend and honor him for his professionalism and for being a positive example within the organization.”
Mr. Costello exhibited tremendous leadership, care and compassion to the hospital family during the COVID-19 pandemic. He diligently cared for staff while staff treated patients and the community; working tirelessly to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all.
The Being Exceptional Every day (BEE) Employee Recognition Program acknowledges the outstanding performance of Garnet Health Medical Center staff for its positive impact on the quality of patient care services. Each month, the BEE committee selects an employee of the month. The employee of the year is then selected out of the 12 employees of the month.
Mr. Costello has been with the organization for 29 years. Throughout his tenure, he has received numerous accolades for his customer service, including volunteering to assist patients, and for providing positive staff experiences. He received a check for $1500, a BEE gift basket and an ‘Employee of the Year’ certificate.
