Greater Hudson Valley Health System Changing Name To Garnet Health On June 18

On June 18, 2020, the Greater Hudson Valley Health System will change its name to Garnet Health.
“We are an organization that has led and embraced change over time and I hope you will join me in supporting another important milestone, the changing of our health system’s name to Garnet Health. The quality care we provide to our patients always comes first and Garnet Health will quickly become a name associated with excellence,” said Scott Batulis, President & CEO of Greater Hudson Valley Health System.
Mr. Batulis added, “Garnet, the New York State gemstone, is a symbol of brilliance, quality, clarity and healing.
Greater Hudson Valley Health System is the corporate parent of the following entities that will also change names on June 18, 2020:
- Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, and Grover M. Hermann Hospital in Callicoon will be renamed Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills.
- Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown will be renamed Garnet Health Medical Center.
- Catskill Regional Medical Group and Orange Regional Medical Group will be renamed Garnet Health Doctors.
- Greater Hudson Valley Urgent Care in Middletown and Monticello will be renamed Garnet Health Urgent Care.
- Catskill Regional Medical Center Foundation will be renamed Garnet Health Foundation – Catskills.
- Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation will be renamed Garnet Health Foundation.
While the names of the system’s entities will change on June 18, 2020, the locations, phone numbers and services will remain the same. Greater Hudson Valley Health System will still be the same independently-run, not-for-profit healthcare organization with the same management and voluntary board of directors comprised of community members.
