Garnet Health Medical Center Announces Surgical Services Leadership Promotions

Peggy Laggner Nicole Ventre Bonnie McFarland
Garnet Health Medical Center, formerly Orange Regional Medical Center, has promoted three individuals to leadership positions within the Surgical Services Department.
Peggy Laggner, MSN, RN, NEA-BC has been promoted to Administrator of Perioperative Services. In 2015, she joined the organization as Director of Same Day Surgery, Endoscopy and PACU, and assisted with the transition of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Laggner later became the Director of PST, Endoscopy and Perioperative Outcomes, leading GHMC’s programs in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery and Bloodless Medicine and Surgery.
Nicole Ventre, BSN, RN, CNOR has been promoted to Director of the Operating Room. She joined the organization in 2014, working in the Wound Care Center and then as a Float RN in 2015. She graduated from the Periop 101 program in 2017 and was named GHMC’s OR Clinical Coordinator in January 2021.
Bonnie McFarland, BSN, RN, CEN has been promoted to Director of Endoscopy. McFarland has been with the organization since 2002, starting out by splitting her time between the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit at Horton Medical Center. She then became an Emergency Department RN, transitioned to Endoscopy and eventually was named Endoscopy Manager.
