Garnet Health Doctors’ Ulrick Vieux, Do Joins Editorial Board For Academic Psychiatry
July 30, 2020Garnet Health Doctors’ Psychiatrist and Department of Psychiatry Chairman, Ulrick Vieux, DO, MS, has been invited to join the editorial board for Academic Psychiatry.
Academic Psychiatry is the official journal of the American Association of Chairs of Departments of Psychiatry, American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training, and the Association of Directors of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to work beside Dr. Vieux,” said Gerard Galarneau President, Garnet Health Doctors. “We congratulate him on this distinguished honor and wish him much luck as he serves his term on the editorial board.”
The appointment was made by the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training.
Dr. Vieux, who is also Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program, will provide support and direction for the journal. This includes advising editors, reviewing manuscripts, developing ideas for special collections of papers, helping render decisions on complex manuscripts and stimulating interest in the journal for authors, readers and reviewers. He will serve from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.

About Ulrick Vieux, DO, MS
Dr. Vieux completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Society at Cornell University, Master of Science Degree in Human Nutrition at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a Fellowship in Psychoanalysis at the New York University Psychoanalytic Institute at New York University Medical Center; Family Medicine Residency at New York Medical College (Brooklyn-Queens campus); and psychiatry-child and adolescent psychiatry training at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital Center.
