As part of its Community Health Self-Care Series, Garnet Health, formerly the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, will host a free webinar on Heart Health on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 655,000 Americans die each year from cardiovascular diseases. The Heart Health Webinar will feature a panel of heart health experts who will discuss the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle, and the positive effects that can have on your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels normal and lower your risk for heart disease and heart attack.
“Garnet Health, along with the American Heart Association, want to be part of your prevention when it comes to cardiovascular diseases,” said Moira Mencher, Manager of Physician Relations & Community Health at Garnet Health. “Our panel discussion will feature Emmanuel Nketiah, MD, Mitul Patel, MD, Garnet Health Doctors’ Cardiologists and Christina Hahn, FNP, of the Cardiology Department, along with Chris Costello, Garnet Health’s Director of Occupational Health & Wellness and Chair of the 2021 American Heart Association’s Tri-County Heart Walk. Eleni Smalley, Senior Development Director, Hudson Valley Chapter of American Heart Association, will also be available to speak about safeguarding your heart health.”
This webinar will provide attendees with an opportunity to ask questions and get answers about maintaining their heart health.
