As part of its Community Health Self-Care Series, Garnet Health, formerly the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, will host a free webinar on Head and Neck Cancer on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
About 550,000 cases of head and neck cancers will be diagnosed worldwide this year, according to the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance. Education on the importance of screenings, how to assess signs and symptoms, and prevention tactics are all vital when it comes to reducing your risk of head and neck cancer.
“Garnet Health understands the importance of prevention and education when it comes to cancer,” said Moira Mencher, Manager of Physician Relations & Community Health at Garnet Health. “Our panel discussion will feature a multidisciplinary professional team of providers who will discuss what head and neck cancer is, how to reduce your risk, what signs and symptoms to look for and so much more.”
Please join an expert multi-specialty team including Dr. Alicia Olowu, Garnet Health Doctors; Dr. Sergey Koyfman, ENT & Allergy Associates; Sara Sargente, Garnet Health Medical Center’s Head & Neck Navigator; and Dr. Thomas Littner, DDS, Cornerstone Dental, for an informative panel discussion on how to reduce risk, diagnostic and treatment techniques and coping strategies that help you ensure quality of life post-diagnosis. The forum will also feature a patient testimonial to provide insight and perspective and provide attendees with an opportunity to ask questions and get answers about head and neck cancer.
